That elderly client who told me she felt like a movie star after I did her eyebrows

A 74 year old lady came in last Tuesday for a quick trim and after I spent 10 minutes shaping her brows she started crying happy tears saying nobody had ever paid that much attention to her face before, has anyone else had a small service totally change how a client sees themselves?

Damn that hit me hard. I'm sitting here re-reading your post like five times trying to process that nobody ever paid attention to her face before. Like, think about that for a second, a whole life of 74 years and nobody ever took the time to do her brows or make her feel special like that. That's just... wow. I think we forget how much small stuff like that can mean to older people especially, they get overlooked so much. You probably gave her a whole new boost of confidence just from ten minutes of work.

I see it a little different though. Maybe she wasn't being overlooked, maybe she just never cared about brows until that moment, you know? Some people live their whole lives without wanting that kind of attention on their face and they're perfectly content.
