Vent: found out the average salon client cancels 3 out of 10 booked appointments and it's killing my books
I was reading a piece from the Professional Beauty Association last month and it said no-shows and late cancels cost the average stylist around $2,500 a year. That number hit me hard because I run a two chair spot in Boise and I just ate a whole Saturday last weekend when 4 of my 8 clients flaked. I get that life happens but it feels like nobody respects the deposit policy until I actually enforce it. Has anyone found a reminder system that cuts this down without making clients feel like I'm nagging them?
