A simple tagline snag on a tower crane in Dallas cost me half a day

The load kept spinning because the tagline got twisted around the hook block. Took four hours to sort out, mostly just climbing down and back up to fix it. Anyone got a trick for keeping a tagline clear on a windy day?

Thomas said it makes you want to lock down every little variable, but that's the wrong way to look at it. Trying to control everything just sets you up for more stress when the wind changes. Sometimes you just have to accept that stuff like a tangled tagline is part of the job, not a problem to be solved. Spending hours trying to prevent every little snag is a waste of energy better used dealing with things as they happen.

Man, that sounds like a huge pain. It's funny how the smallest thing, like a tangled line, can blow up a whole morning's work. I see that same pattern all the time, where one tiny snag throws off a much bigger plan. Makes you want to find a way to lock down every little variable, even when the wind has other ideas.

My brother's fishing trip got ruined by a single knot he couldn't undo. It's wild how those little things pile up.
