Heard a foreman say "trust the tagline" and it clicked
Was on a steel erection job in Tulsa last Tuesday and this old hand told me the tagline is the only thing between your load and a swing. Been running cranes 8 years and I always treated it like a chore, now I see it as the real steering wheel. Anyone else change how they rig after hearing something simple like that?

Man, I spent years treating taglines like a backup dancer instead of the lead singer, so this hits home. @hugotaylor nailed it, once you actually trust the line it feels less like guesswork and more like the load is just following your lead. Idk if I'll ever be as smooth as that old hand, but at least now I'm not the guy swinging into the beam.
