Rental history reporting service got my application approved in Phoenix
I spent 4 months getting denied for apartments because my credit score sat at 580, then a leasing agent told me to sign up for a rent reporting service that adds my 3 years of on-time payments to my credit file. My score jumped to 640 within 6 weeks and I just got approved for a 2 bedroom near Camelback. Has anyone else used these services and had their score shoot up faster than expected?

The part about your score jumping to 640 in 6 weeks sounds a bit off, honestly. These services report your history to the bureaus, but the big jump usually comes from things like paying down balances or getting old late payments removed, not just from adding rent. Your score might go up some, but 60 points that fast is rare unless there were other changes on your report at the same time. Also, make sure the service actually reports to all three bureaus, not just one, cause that's a common catch. Still, congrats on getting approved near Camelback, that area's decent.
