Bought a "waterproof" Bluetooth speaker from a random Instagram ad and it died in my shower after 3 uses

I got this speaker from some ad that kept popping up on my feed, $24.99 and they claimed it could survive being submerged for 30 minutes. After the third time I took it into the shower the sound got all crackly and it just stopped turning on. Anyone else fall for those mystery brand ads on Instagram?

Got burned by one of those waterproof phone pouches from an ad, lasted maybe two showers.

Read a review somewhere that tested those pouches in a fish tank and most failed within an hour. The adhesive seals just don't hold up to real water pressure or steam (which is probably why two showers did yours in). Always best to check actual underwater tests on YouTube before buying stuff like that.

Used to think those ads were reliable till I tried one myself.
