That '80% off' vacuum deal was a lie
Saw a Dyson knockoff on Facebook for $40, claimed it was normally $200. Looked up the actual brand on Alibaba - same thing sells for $12 wholesale. How do these ads even get approved?

Run those ads through Facebook's approval system and you'll see why they get approved. Their AI just checks for swear words and nudity, not lies about pricing. I reported one of these scams once and got a generic "this doesn't violate our policies" reply. The whole system is built to make money off clicks, not protect shoppers. Until a class action lawsuit hits them they won't change a thing.

Had a buddy fall for one of those ads last month. Paid 40 bucks for a "custom sign" that ended up being a blurry image someone printed on their home printer and stuffed in a tube. Facebook told him the same thing, basically said it's on him for not reading the fine print. Makes you wonder how many people just shrug and move on instead of fighting it.
