Unpopular opinion: price tracker history beats the fake countdown timer every single time
I used to get pulled in by those red "sale ends in 04:59" timers on big retail sites, so last month I tried a different move. Instead of grabbing the deal right away, I ran the same desk lamp through a price history tracker and watched it for 3 weeks. The timer reset 6 times and the "50% off" price was actually the normal price from 4 months ago. The tracker flagged the lowest real price as $26 in March, and the current "deal" was $41. That $15 gap was just a fake story the store tells to make me rush. Now I check history first on anything over $30. Has anyone found a tracker that still works well on smaller shops, or do you just do it by hand?
