Had a string of good luck last week that felt suspicious
Last Tuesday I found $30 in an old coat pocket, which already felt bizarre. Then on Wednesday my car passed emissions testing without needing a repair for once, which never happens. Thursday I got an email saying my package that was marked lost had actually been delivered to a neighbor two blocks over, and he brought it to my door. By Friday I was waiting for something bad to balance it out, like a pipe bursting or my internet going down. Nothing terrible happened all weekend, and now I'm just side-eyeing this week waiting for the universe to collect. Has anyone else had a week that was too good and felt like a setup?
Exactly one month ago I had a project that went perfectly for three weeks straight, and I spent the whole time waiting for something to go wrong. It didn't, but the anxiety ruined any satisfaction I could've felt from it. @torres.blair that hypervigilance is honestly its own kind of exhaustion.
