I saw this clip going around where a guy swabs a cracker after 5 seconds on the floor and acts like it's basically sterile. Figured it was fake so I bought a $20 home petri dish kit off Amazon and did it myself in my apartment in Portland. Dropped 3 crackers on my kitchen tile, waited 5, 30, and 60 seconds, then let the dishes sit for 2 days. The 5 second one had about 12 little colonies, the 60 second one had close to 80. So the rule is kind of junk but the video was not totally made up either, idk what to make of that. Has anyone else tried a home swab test like this and gotten numbers that actually mean something?
