Paid $80 for a 'viral hack' ebook, turned out to be free info from 2018
Last month I saw a TikTok about a $80 ebook that promised to fix my home office setup with 'secret productivity tricks'. I bought it and found it was just screenshots of blog posts I could have found with a quick search, including one dated 2018. The only unique thing was a link to a YouTube playlist with ads. I tried to get a refund and the seller said 'digital products are final' then blocked me. Has anyone else gotten burned by these overpriced PDFs that just recycle old tips?

Isn't it wild how we're being trained to pay for stuff we already know how to find? This whole "viral hack" thing feels like the new version of those late night infomercials, just with a younger face on it. I've noticed the same pattern with fitness plans and meal prep guides, it's all just repackaged basics with a fancy cover and a "limited time" countdown. The sad part is the ones who lose the most are people who are just trying to get a little ahead, and the scammers know that and bank on it.
