Pro tip: a random Redditor spotted my fake-science source, now I triple check everything

I posted a debunk about a 'miracle cure' article that cited some sketchy blog. Someone commented that my source was from a site that also sells anti-vax stickers, which I didn't catch. After that, I started running every claim through Google Scholar and checking the author's actual credentials. It took me 20 minutes extra per post, but I've stopped embarrassing myself twice this week alone. Has anyone else had a commenter save them from posting a dumb take?
