Watched my uncle share a 'doctors hate this' arthritis cure at Thanksgiving dinner, spent 20 min pulling up the actual study
So we are at my aunt's place in Toledo for Thanksgiving and my uncle pulls up this Facebook post about a miracle arthritis cure. Big bold text, 'doctors are hiding this.' He is about to order the stuff for $60 when I ask him where the claim comes from. Took me 20 minutes on my phone to find the original study. It was done on 14 mice. FOURTEEN. And the mice got the compound injected, not eaten as a pill. The article just took that and ran with it. Uncle put his wallet away and we all got a laugh out of it. Honestly felt good to actually catch one of these things before the money left his pocket. What's your go to move when a relative drops a claim like that at the dinner table?
