DAE pick between fixing the old dryer or buying new, and want to deep dive the math?
My dryer died 3 weeks ago and I stood in the laundromat doing the math on a $180 repair vs $650 for a new one. I went with the repair and it has been fine so far, but I keep wondering if I just kicked the can down the road. Would love a deep dive on when appliances are worth fixing vs replacing, like real numbers on average lifespan after a repair. Anyone got a good rule they actually use?
