Dropped $18 on a used ring light at a garage sale and it caught a fake in 2 minutes
My cousin sent our family group chat a clip of a famous actor saying something wild, and I could just tell something was off. I set up that cheap ring light next to my laptop and replayed the clip in slow motion, and the shadows on his neck kept flickering in a weird pattern that doesn't happen with real lighting. A real light moves on skin smooth, but this one jumped every few frames. Does anyone else use plain old desk lamps or lights to spot the shadow errors, or is that too low tech?
