Fake 'presidential address' video hit my feed 3 times this week
Last Friday a deep fake clip of a mayor announcing a fake water boil order surfaced on a local neighborhood group. It spread to 14 posts before anyone checked the city's actual site and found zero alerts. How many of you have family members who would retweet that kind of thing without a second look?

My sister forwarded me one of those fake disaster alerts last year. Turned out it was just a screenshot from some movie with a news ticker slapped on it. I told her to check the local station's page first and she got annoyed. Now she sends me stuff and asks "real or fake" before posting. It took twice but she finally gets it.
