Honestly, how weird does a blink have to look before it tips you off? I used to assume any odd movement in a video meant it was fake. After seeing so many bad edits online, though, I realize real people just move in strange ways sometimes. That's probably why the prank didn't work, normal blinking can be pretty weird on its own.
