Dropped $40 on a screen calibration tool for my art tablet and it was a total game changer.

My colors kept looking washed out on other screens, so I got the X-Rite ColorMunki last month. Now my portfolio pieces look exactly the same on my phone and my monitor. Has anyone else found a good fix for color matching issues?

Wait, you got a ColorMunki for forty bucks? I mean, I've been looking at those for ages and they're usually way more than that. Did you find some crazy sale or get a used one? That's honestly a steal if it actually works right.

Found a forum post where someone said they got one cheap from a university surplus sale. Those places sometimes sell old gear for next to nothing. Might be worth checking if any schools near you are clearing out old tech.

Man, I feel that "washed out on other screens" thing so hard. I was pulling my hair out last year because my prints kept coming back looking totally different. That moment when you finally see it match up is the best feeling.

Is it really worth the hassle and money though? I just adjust my monitor settings by eye until it looks close enough. Most people are looking at art on their own uncalibrated screens anyway, so what's the point of chasing perfect color? It feels like fixing a problem most viewers won't even notice.
