Hand painted, hands down. Speed comes from muscle memory. Digital just adds more steps.

Used to think digital was faster since you could undo stuff, but you're totally right about muscle memory. Spent a summer painting miniatures by hand and now I can block out a basecoat faster than any tablet setup. The tactile feedback just makes everything click into place.
