Comparing two cleaning methods changed my whole backup system

I spent last week testing file-by-file deletion against a mass delete tool called Duplicate Cleaner Pro. The manual way took me 6 hours and I still missed 2,000 dupes in my music library. The tool found 48,000 files in 20 minutes and freed up 78 GB on my external drive. Has anyone else tried a bulk approach over picking things out one by one, or am I late to this party?

That "weight off your drive" part hits different lol. @holly709 you had it right about the near identical screenshots, but here's my thing. After you ran that bulk delete, did you actually go back and check what it flagged before letting it nuke everything? I feel like the first time I tried a tool like that it grabbed a bunch of stuff I actually wanted, like older versions of project files. How much trust are you putting in the algorithm vs your own eyes?

ugh that manual grind is the worst. i did the same thing with my photos folder once and ended up with like 300 near identical screenshots still hanging around. the time you save alone is worth it, plus the free space is a nice bonus. glad you finally got that weight off your drive, that must feel so good.
