Old external drive from 2011 finally got sorted out today

Had a 500GB Western Digital from my college days with like 40 versions of the same thesis scattered around, took an afternoon in Denver to just delete the dupes and organize by year. Anyone else find that the older the drive, the harder it is to let go of even the junk folders?
