Finally cracked $3k in a single month from my freelance writing gig
Been bouncing around Southeast Asia for 8 months now, and last month I actually hit $3,100 working from a hostel in Chiang Mai. Turns out focusing on one niche (supply chain logistics) instead of taking every random job pays way better. Anyone else find a sweet spot by narrowing down?

Read a podcast transcript where a freelancer said narrowing your focus is like charging premium rates for specialist work instead of competing with hundreds for general gigs. Makes total sense since supply chain logistics is such a specific need that companies will pay more for someone who actually knows the difference between freight forwarding and warehousing. That's smart figuring out what works and doubling down instead of chasing every dollar.

Wait, does that mean my whole "I can do literally anything for anyone" approach is basically me running a clearance sale on my own skills? Because I've been out here acting like a human Swiss Army knife when I could have been a specialized power drill. Guess I've been playing the bargain bin game while you guys are over there charging like you're the only plumber in a flooded basement.

Read something similar from a guy who used to write general blog posts and started pulling in triple the rate just doing cybersecurity compliance content for SaaS companies. That niche focus seems to be the cheat code for the whole freelance game.
