My Chiang Mai coworking desk broke my back for a month

Last month I booked this trendy coworking spot near Nimman because the photos looked amazing, but the chairs were these cheap stools with zero lumbar support. After 3 weeks hunched over my laptop, I had a knot in my lower back so bad I couldn't sleep without a heating pad. I asked the owner if they had any ergonomic options, and he just shrugged and pointed to a stack of yoga mats. Anyone else deal with 'cool' coworking spaces that ignore basic comfort, or am I the only one who brings my own chair now?

Ugh, that sounds miserable. I read somewhere that most coworking places buy cheap furniture to save money and just hope nobody complains. Seems like a rolling desk chair with a real back is the exception, not the rule now.

Ugh, that’s brutal. My buddy had the same thing happen in a spot in Lisbon. He ended up using a rolled up hoodie as a back pillow for two weeks because they refused to fix the stools. Owner told him to try the standing desk instead, which was just a high table with no stool at all. He still talks about the neck pain from looking down at his screen all day.
