My peel and stick backsplash started peeling after 3 days in the kitchen near the stove
I installed it on a Saturday and by Tuesday the edges near the burner were curling up, so I had to pull it all off and use construction adhesive instead. Has anyone had better luck with a different brand of adhesive for heat-prone areas?

Construction adhesive seems like overkill for something that's supposed to be temporary.

Right, because nothing says "I care about my kitchen" like sticking cheap plastic tiles to a wall near a heat source and hoping for the best. Real shocker that the heat from the stove decided to fight back. At least you figured out the construction adhesive route before the whole thing went full abstract art on you.
