Scraped my knuckles raw trying to fix a leaky pipe under the sink...

I spent my whole Saturday morning underneath my bathroom sink in Denver, trying to replace a corroded P-trap that had been dripping for weeks. The pipe wrench kept slipping off the nut and I nearly took a chunk out of my hand when it finally gave... water went everywhere... all over the new rug my wife just bought. After three trips to the hardware store and some choice words, I got it all sealed up with Teflon tape and a prayer. Has anyone else had a simple job turn into a two-hour disaster?

Three trips to the hardware store and a prayer" sounds about right, but I gotta say I actually enjoy those kinda mornings. There's something satisfying about fixing it yourself even when it goes sideways. Don't you kinda like the challenge?
