Hit my 500th drawing completed and honestly I was stunned

Tbh I didn't even track my drawings until my boss asked how many I've done this year. I started drafting back in February at a small shop in Akron and I just kept grinding. When I counted them up last week I was at 498. By Friday I hit 500 even. Ngl that number caught me off guard because I thought I was maybe at 300. It mattered because I proved to myself I can keep up with the older guys here who have been doing this for decades. Has anyone else lost track of their count and then surprised themselves?

Did you ever notice how we always think we're doing less than we actually are? I've seen that happen with my neighbor who paints houses. He swore he only did like 15 jobs last year. Counted them up and it was 42. Something about the day to day grind just makes the numbers blur together.

Yeah the numbers blur together real fast once you get going.

Must be nice, I lost count of my drawings after about 12 and just started telling people I was on a "creative sabbatical".
