I finally learned why my corners kept cracking after a job in Phoenix last summer

Was finishing a bathroom remodel in a house near downtown Phoenix and every corner I taped cracked within 3 days. Turns out the AC was blasting at 60 degrees at night while the crew was gone, then the owner would turn it off during the day. That 30 degree temp swing killed my mud job. Anyone else run into HVAC ruining their drywall finish?

Sympathizing with @emery10, that temp swing is brutal on mud joints.

Did you have the AC running while you were mudding or did they turn it on after you left? Tbh I had the exact same thing happen on a job in Scottsdale last fall. The homeowner was running the AC at like 58 every night and then opening windows during the day. Ngl my corners started cracking within a week and I had to go back and redo everything with some flex tape. It was a nightmare.

Man that's rough, temp swings are the worst for mud work.
