I just flushed $400 down the drain on a new drafting tablet

I saw this big sale online for a tablet with a built-in screen, thinking it would speed up my redline work (you know, for markups). The thing showed up, and the pen pressure was so jumpy it made clean lines impossible. I spent three whole days trying to calibrate it and mess with the drivers, but it just never worked right. Has anyone found a good tablet that actually holds up for daily drafting work?

Four hundred dollars... that's a whole lot of money to just vanish because of a bad pen sensor. I'd be furious if a tool that expensive showed up broken right out of the box. Did the company at least offer a refund, or are you just stuck with it?

My old Wacom pen lasted eight years before the tip finally wore down.

You know, I used to think "out of the box" problems were just bad luck. But my last tablet had a similar sensor issue, and the company made me jump through so many hoops for a replacement that I gave up. It really changed how I check return policies before buying anything now.
