Choosing between a local grower and the wholesale market for peonies

Always figured the wholesale market was the only way to go for big orders. Your post makes a strong case for paying the local premium.

A friend told me my bullet journal was 'too messy' to be useful

My own bullet journal looks like a raccoon got into some ink and had a panic attack. The scribbles are a feature, not a bug, because I need to see the chaos to feel like I've done something. If it was clean, I'd assume I hadn't actually lived my life.

Had a client in Phoenix last month who insisted his old IDE hard drive was 'just as fast' as an SSD for his new gaming PC build.

Betty's comment about the Cyberpunk load times is too real... I once tried to run a modern game off an old backup drive to save space. I could go make a sandwich, eat it, and wash the plate before the main menu showed up. The denial is strong with some folks. I guess we all cling to weird tech beliefs sometimes though, I used to think more RAM would fix a slow internet connection.

Had to choose between finishing a show or starting a new one last night

My own watchlist has like 17 shows I started and then just forgot about. I tell myself I'll go back to them, but then something new and shiny pops up. It's a real problem. Finishing 'The Bear' first was the right move, because now you can dive into 'Shogun' without that little guilty voice in your head, right?

A client in a small town diner taught me something about color theory

Wait, you think "cool" and "warm" are sensations we all know the same way? That's wild to me. My cool is a frozen lake in January, but my friend's cool is the shade under a palm tree. Those feel totally different. If I tell a client "this is a warm red," they might picture a brick fireplace while I'm thinking of a spicy pepper. The basic idea falls apart as soon as you get personal, which is the whole point of color.
