Had to decide between a full pump rebuild or just replacing the impeller on the old 8-inch cutterhead dredge
Went with the impeller, and of course the main bearing gave out two days later, costing me an extra $3k in downtime lol. Anyone got a better system for spotting those early wear signs before they blow?

Just replacing the impeller" is always a gamble. What's your vibration analysis look like on the main shaft?
