Showerthought: The channel we dredged near Galveston last year is already filling back in. What's the fastest you've seen a cut silt up?

Oh man, dredging is a losing battle. I saw a small boat channel get totally choked with mud in just one rainy season after they cleared it. The river just kept dumping sediment right back in like it owned the place.
