Took me 2 years to figure out I was taping inside corners backwards

I was doing the paper tape fold first then mudding over it and wondered why my corners kept cracking. Watching a guy do mud first then fold the tape into it on a job in Phoenix last month finally made it click. Anybody else learn basic stuff way later than they should have?
