Got stuck in a downpour at the Brooklyn Flea and it gave me a new fabric idea

I saw how the rain beaded up on some old waxed canvas tarps, and now I'm sketching a jacket with a similar water-resistant finish (but way more stylish, you know?). Anyone have tips for sourcing waxed cotton that isn't super stiff?

Hey, that's a cool idea. But won't waxed cotton always get stiff over time, or are you looking at a different kind of coating?
