My fabric dye batch went weirdly green at the last minute before a show.

I was in my garage studio at 2 AM, and I had to overdye the whole set with a rust-colored wash to save it. Has anyone else had a dye disaster turn into something you actually liked more?

Wait, you were in the garage at 2 AM? That's some serious dedication right before a show. The rust wash over the weird green sounds like it could make a really cool, earthy color combo though.

Yeah, that rust wash trick works... just make sure you seal it after it dries. Learned that the hard way last year.

My first attempt at a rust wash looked like a science experiment gone wrong because I forgot the sealer. The whole thing turned into a weird orange dust that got on everything. I had to redo the entire piece while covered in what looked like Cheeto powder. It was a solid lesson in not skipping steps, even at 3 AM when you're tired.

Oh man, that rust over green combo sounds amazing. Like moss on old metal, super earthy. Bet it looked way cooler than your original plan.
