I actually found a $3 dress from Shein that lasted 2 years

Everyone says fast fashion falls apart instantly, but I wore this specific black slip dress to 4 weddings and washed it cold. It only got a tiny hole after 60+ wears. Am I just the luckiest person ever or are some pieces weirdly durable?

Exactly my friend Carla had this happen with a Shein order. She bought a sequined top for a New Year's party back in 2021. Wore it twice a year for holidays and it still looked brand new with no loose threads. Then she ordered a basic cotton t-shirt from them at the same time and that thing started pilling after the first wash. So yeah, @lewis.brian is spot on about it being a total gamble, you never know what you're actually gonna get until it's too late. It's like they have two completely different factories, one that makes the one good piece and another that makes everything else fall apart on purpose.

Found the one good Shein item.

Honestly though, is one decent find even worth it? Wade_kelly77 has the right idea, it's all a total gamble. You might get a shirt that looks okay until the seams give out after one wash. Then you're just left with a pile of weird fabric and a feeling you wasted your money. Feels less like shopping and more like hoping you don't get the completely messed up item.

What was it? I mean, I've ordered from them a few times and it's always a total gamble. I got this one sweater that was actually decent, but then the zipper broke like two weeks later. Maybe it's just me but I feel like you have to get really lucky with them.
