Serious question, remember when a 'haul' video was just a few items from the mall?

Now my feed is flooded with people showing off 50+ pieces from Shein for under $100. The shift happened around 2020 when micro-trends and TikTok exploded. Anyone else feel like the scale got completely out of hand?

My 2023 closet cleanout had over a hundred fast fashion tags.

Question if it's really that big of a deal though. People like @elliot_roberts just bought what was cheap and easy to find. Maybe the problem was always there and we just see it more now.

Ugh, I saw an article calling it "haul culture" and how it's just a race to post the biggest pile of clothes. It's wild how normal it seems now.
