Ordered a 'secret menu' burger and it was a total disaster
Heard about a special burger online, the 'Animal Style Double Double' from In-N-Out. Tried it at the one off the 5 freeway. Got a burger that was basically soup in a wrapper. Mustard grilled patties, extra spread, grilled onions, pickles. Could not pick it up. Learned that some things are secret for a reason. Anyone have a good 'secret' item that actually works?

Ugh, that's the worst. I ask for the spread on the side now, makes it way easier to handle. Game changer for keeping it from falling apart.

Wait, but doesn't that make it too dry? I tried that and just ended up with a sad, plain sandwich. I have to spread it myself anyway.

Right? What is it with secret menu stuff always being a total mess? My "Protein Style" burger just fell apart into a lettuce pile on my lap.

Game changer" is a bit strong, isn't it? The spread on the side just gives you a whole new problem of trying to spread cold, thick sauce on a burger that's already falling apart. You end up with a bigger mess and greasy fingers. It feels like they make these things hard to eat on purpose.
