Remember when we used to hand nail every row of hardwood?
I was on a job last week and this younger guy asked me why I still bother with my old pneumatic nailer instead of that new battery powered one his boss bought. Told him it's because I've seen three of those jam and die mid-row on a job site, and my old senco has outlasted every helper I've ever had. Has anyone else noticed these new tools just don't hold up like they used to?

And it ain't just tools either, I swear everything's built like that now. My buddy bought a new fridge last year, fancy ice maker and all, had to replace the compressor within 8 months. Meanwhile my old one from 2004 still runs cold as a witch's you-know-what. They just don't want stuff to last anymore, we all gotta keep buying.

@emma_garcia that fridge story hits hard, feel like everything's designed to crap out on us now.
