Got burned by ordering bulk eucalyptus online - total waste of $120

I figured I'd save some cash by ordering 120 stems of silver dollar eucalyptus from a wholesaler I found on Instagram. They arrived looking fine but within 3 days all the leaves were dropping off like crazy. I normally get my greenery from a local supplier in Cleveland but thought I'd try something new. Half of them were already brown and crunchy by day 5, completely unsalvageable for any arrangement. Anyone else had bad luck with online foliage orders or did I just pick the wrong vendor?

Try sticking the stems in boiling water for 30 seconds right when they arrive next time.

30 seconds in boiling water" is a pretty specific timing there. In my experience with things like asparagus and broccolini, even an extra 10 seconds can turn the stems from crisp to mushy, so your mileage may vary depending on the thickness of the stems. I'd suggest starting with 15 seconds and testing one before committing the whole bunch.

Start by testing the thickest stem you have, not the thinnest one. That way you'll know the worst case scenario for timing and can adjust down from there rather than boiling a whole batch too long. What kind of greens did this work best with for you?
