I used to wrap every bouquet in cellophane until a bride in Denver asked for paper instead.
Now I keep three types of kraft paper on hand and my waste is down 40%, so what's the best eco-friendly wrap you've tried for wedding orders?

Seeded paper sounds nice, but doesn't it just make more trash if nobody actually plants it?

My sister's florist used this really nice seeded paper for her wedding. It had little wildflower seeds pressed right into it, so guests could plant their napkins after the brunch. Felt like a clever way to extend the life of the decor.

Honestly, the whole wrap thing is a distraction. The real waste is the floral foam in the bouquets themselves. That green brick stuff is pure microplastic trash, it never breaks down. I switched to chicken wire and water tubes for my arrangements, and it cuts plastic use way more than changing the paper ever could. Sure, it takes a bit longer to build, but clients love that the whole thing is actually compostable. The wrap is just the visible part, the foam is the hidden problem.

Oh man, you are so right about the foam. That stuff is awful. I helped a friend set up for her wedding and we spent forever picking those green bricks out of the trash to put in its own special bag, it was a mess. Chicken wire sounds like a smart fix. And @wader71 has a point too, if people just toss the seeded paper it doesn't really help. It feels like you have to fix the whole system, not just one part.
