Update on that new ceramic fiber blanket we tried versus the old stuff

The new stuff from ThermalGuard cut our furnace cooldown time by nearly 2 hours compared to the old standard blanket. Anyone else switch brands and see a big difference in heat retention?

Wish we had results like that. Honestly, our team stuck with the old supplier last upgrade and the change was basically nothing. Tbh it feels like we wasted a whole lot of effort for zero gain. Seeing a two hour difference makes me think we picked wrong. Gotta show this to the guys on Monday.

Could the density be why some demos look good but real world results don't match?

Tell Allen.Anthony that's exactly why we pushed for a full test run before signing our last contract. Saw a demo where they baked two identical bricks, one wrapped in each blanket, and the temp difference after an hour was huge. Honestly, sticking with the old supplier can feel safe but sometimes you're just paying for the name. Our energy guy said the new fiber density makes the real difference, not just the thickness. Makes you wonder what else we're all overpaying for that's just okay.
