Shoutout to my supervisor for listening to our project preferences
I see this trend in a few shops now. When we have a say, we put more care into each piece. It makes a big difference in the final finish.

My buddy got stuck on a project he hated last year and it showed in his work. He was always rushing just to get it done, which meant a ton of redo stuff later. It totally reminds me of what xenah35 said about learning the hard way. Having a say from the start would have saved him so much stress and time. That kind of choice really does change how much you care about the whole process.

Honestly, that cuts down on so much rework later.

Preach.
Seriously! Doing it right the first time is such a life saver. It feels slow at the start, but man, it avoids so many headaches later. You're not stuck going back to fix a mess you made in a hurry. That upfront work always pays off big time.
