Didn't have my weights, so I used water bottles for my home workout

I was in the middle of my home workout and my dumbbells weren't there. So I picked up two water bottles and used them instead. I mean, they actually felt decent for exercises like curls and shoulder presses. Idk, maybe it's just me, but now I'm thinking about other things I could use. Has anyone else done this? What household items work for you?

Ever tried using canned food? I used to think you needed proper gear, but a couple of full water bottles changed my mind for light stuff.

Yeah, the water bottle thing really shows how simple stuff can work. I read about a fitness trainer who uses bags of flour for squats. She said it's just as good as kettlebells for learning form. Another guy online filled old milk jugs with sand for extra weight. It's kinda funny how we overlook everyday items. But hey, if it gets the job done, why not?
