Rant: Cutting fiberglass batts used to be my least favorite job.
I hated the itch and the dust everywhere. Trying a new scoring method with a razor knife made it way easier. What's your go-to tool for clean cuts?

My buddy Mark tried using a basic box cutter on his attic project last fall. He ended up with these ragged, uneven pieces that wouldn't fit between the joists right. A huge cloud of that awful pink dust filled the room and stuck to his sweat. He finally borrowed a proper heavy-duty knife with snap-off blades from his neighbor. The clean score line made such a difference, and he didn't have to fight the material at all.

Actually, a razor knife can snap if you press too hard. A heavy-duty utility knife works better for scoring batts.

Ugh, I've snapped so many blades trying to cut thick stuff. You're totally right about needing the heavier tool for that job.
