Vent: Trimming my record pile helped more than I expected
I had too many vinyl records and it made my room feel messy. Keeping just my top picks means I actually play them all now. How do you decide what stays in your hobby stuff?

Wait, you had records you never even played? I'm shocked you bought them just to have them sit there. My rule is if I haven't spun it in a year, it's probably just expensive wall art.

Question how you separate the music you love from the stuff you just own. I had to sell records that were gifts (even unplayed ones) and it felt awful, but freeing. Does your 'year rule' account for personal meaning, or is it strictly about use? My purge made me realize I was keeping things for a past version of myself. What part of your collection was hardest to let go of, and why?
