My small win from reading a critic after every movie
I started forcing myself to check one critic's take right after I watch a film, just to see another angle. It's made me notice little details I used to miss, and now my movie chats are less about just liking or hating stuff. What's your move with critic reviews, do you seek them out or dodge them completely?

I love that idea of finding a "whole new side" to films, and I totally get what @the_linda means. I started doing something similar last year. After watching a movie, I'd pick one review from a critic I trust and read it right away. It's wild what you miss on your own. For example, after seeing that new detective drama, a critic pointed out how the director used the color yellow in every scene with the villain. I never would have caught that link, and it made the whole film feel more clever and connected. Now I watch movies with a different kind of attention.

Reading reviews can really open your eyes, huh?

I used to ignore critics completely, but doing this showed me a whole new side. Now I catch WAY more in every film.
