My neighborhood's PC building meetup left everyone confused

The guide they handed out was for a completely different CPU socket. How are you supposed to learn from that? Now I'm back to searching online for help.

Saw a post on another forum about this happening a lot lately with pre-built systems. They said the manuals get recycled between models with different chipsets. Makes a real mess for someone trying to upgrade.

Classic move from those companies. I did the same thing with my last upgrade, followed the wrong guide and almost broke my motherboard. Now I just assume all manuals are lies until proven otherwise.
