Checked a viral tweet on weather patterns, now I'm questioning everything

The data seemed solid until I found the original source was a parody account. Why do we trust things so quickly?

Totally get where you're coming from, that's how it starts sometimes. I had a thing like that with some shipping stats from a vendor last year. Once I saw one number was off, I ended up checking all their old reports and found a bunch of small errors. It actually helped me talk to them about fixing their process, lmao. Digging a little deeper usually shows you the full picture.
