My old post vise snapped clean through at the jaw pivot yesterday.

Was twisting a stubborn piece of rebar and heard a loud crack. The cast iron just gave out after maybe 15 years of use. Anyone know a good place to find a solid replacement vise that can take a real beating?

I thought the 'no makeup' apology look was always a real choice, but I was wrong

For a long time, I figured when a star did an apology video without makeup, it was a real, raw choice to look vulnerable. Then I watched a breakdown of three videos from the same actress over six months. In each one, her 'no makeup' face had the exact same level of 'sickly pale' foundation and perfectly smudged under-eye shadow. It was a full, repeatable makeup look designed to seem bare. That convinced me it's a calculated move, not a real moment. Has anyone else spotted a specific, repeatable 'apology uniform' like that?

Why everyone's missing out on the real food scene in Porto's backstreets

I was in Porto last month and skipped the main tourist spots. Found a tiny market called Mercado do Bolhão that's packed with locals. Their grilled sardines and vinho verde are amazing, and it's so cheap. If you don't go there, you're really missing out.
