Rant: My buddy's take on that actor's apology video made me see it all different
I was watching that big apology video from that actor who got in trouble, you know the one, with my friend Mike. He used to work in PR for a local theater. He pointed out how the guy kept saying 'I take full responsibility' but then listed 4 different outside reasons for his mess. Mike said, 'Watch his eyes, he looks at the cue card every 7 seconds, it's a script, not a feeling.' That hit different because I was just taking it at face value. Now I can't unsee the little pauses before the 'emotional' parts. It feels totally fake. Has anyone else had a moment where someone pointed out a tell in one of these videos that changed your whole view?
